The setting of this story is the Oriental Plaza in Johannesburg. During modern years.
Plot:
The story is about a young lady by the name of Mrs. Nebo who was the wife of an official African front. They were so rich that she had two chauffeurs, owned two Mercedes, and lived in a mansion at the suburb of Houghton. There was a day that she went shopping with a friend and she bought a dress and she needed a scarf that would fit perfectly with her dress. She went from shop to shop hoping that she would find that scarf and she came across a silk scarf that she so badly wanted in one of the shops. The problem was that she did not have enough money and it happened to be that the shop does not except cheques at all. So she insisted to offer the shopkeeper the cheque but the man refused. The friend tried also convincing the man just by letting him know how important was Mrs. Nebo, but this man pointed to a strip of cardboard which signaled scarlet that no credit, no cheque only cash is allowed and she felt offended. So the other shopkeepers from the other shop came to see what was going on and the heard the whole story and also tried to talk through the shopkeeper by accepting the cheque but he still refused. The other shopkeeper were afraid that what happened in apartheid might happen again, and decided the other shopkeepers decided to pay for the scarf for her and to take it as a gift from the traders in the Oriental plaza. And she was thankful for the gift.

She was true wife of Mr. Clive Nebo who was designated as the foreign affairs minister in the new govrennment. She lived in the suburb Houghton. She wore designed quality expensive fashion clothes. She was accompanied always by chauffeurs
